The Vapor Pin® —A Simple, Yet Innovative Solution in Soil Gas Sample Equipment

The Vapor Pin® , developed and patented by Cox-Colvin & Associates, Inc. is a revolutionary, yet simple device used to detect vapor intrusion. The re-usable, versatile device is one of the most innovative tools for soil gas sampling, and has made extremely positive strides in how quickly and easily environmental consultants, drillers and vapor mitigation companies can test and sample for vapor intrusion and mitigation systems.

The Vapor Pin® is currently used for vapor intrusion sampling and vapor intrusion testing on commercial and residential sites. Available for professional and personal testing, the Vapor Pin® allows a quick, highly effective, and low cost method for:

  • Soil gas sampling, testing, and soil gas probes
  • Radon pressure testing, in addition to other depressurization studies and testing
  • Stray gas and chemical evaluations
  • Source area characterization
  • Vapor mitigation progress monitoring

The Vapor Pin® was designed to eliminate the common challenges associated with soil vapor sampling and traditional vapor intrusion sampling tools, as most require more time for installation, expenses, and can be prone to leaks.

The patented design, using a built-in, disposable seal, enables soil gas/vapor sampling technicians to reduce sampling time, increased the number of samples for less cost to the customers, and provides a better scope of the site conditions.
